Our Church of England Ethos

At Swannington CofE Primary School, we are proud to be a Church of England school, embracing the Church of England’s vision for education. Our approach is rooted in values that guide children to grow academically, spiritually, and personally:

  • Educating for wisdom, knowledge, and skills: We nurture curiosity, confidence, and delight in learning, helping every child develop their unique talents.

  • Educating for hope and aspiration: We support children to overcome challenges, build resilience, and explore the possibilities that lie ahead.

  • Educating for community and living well together: Relationships, participation, and strong character are at the heart of our school life, enabling everyone to flourish together.

  • Educating for dignity and respect: We value every individual, fostering respect, empathy, and an understanding of the worth of each person.

We maintain strong links with the Leicester Diocesan Board of Education and our local church community, which enriches our school life. Rev Darren leads fortnightly collective worship and supports learning across the curriculum. Children regularly visit the church and take part in whole-school services, creating meaningful connections between faith, learning, and community.
