Enabling children to flourish and succeed

Swannington C of E Primary School Praised in SIAMS report

Swannington C of E Primary School, Main Street, Swannington, is proud to report that it is ‘living up to its foundation as a Church school and is enabling pupils and adults to flourish’ after a recent Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS) by the Church of England.

The school, which is part of Rise Multi Academy Trust, was described as having a caring and inclusive culture that is in line with its vision of enabling children to flourish and succeed. A SIAMS inspection reviews how effective a church school is in delivering a strong Christian ethos to enable pupils, staff, and the school community to thrive.

Inspectors noted the Christian vision is at the centre of the school’s work. Inspirational leaders have forged a deep sense of belonging within the school community, the wider village, and Rise Multi Academy Trust. Pupils, staff, and families care deeply about one another.

Additionally, Inspectors found that the ‘Mental health provision and wellbeing are a priority” also noted was “The detailed knowledge staff have of the needs of each child and their family is exemplary”. Not only do staff and the Trust support pupils, but pupils also support each other, as a result, adults and pupils feel secure and cherished exemplifying the school’s vision, ‘I am safe and secure’ John 10:27-30

Dave Ellison-Lee, CEO at Rise commented ‘We are delighted with the SIAMS outcome. School leaders and staff have worked really hard to make the improvements that were seen by inspectors.’

Hayley Ryder-Smith, Headteacher said: "We are incredibly proud of the outcome of our recent SIAMS inspection. The report reflects the hard work, dedication, and commitment of both our staff and students. It highlights the strong sense of community, our shared Christian values, and the excellent provision of spiritual, moral, social, and cultural development within the school. We are thrilled to see our efforts recognised and are excited to continue building on this success to create an even brighter future for our school".
